Best live music bars in Las Vegas: bands, pianos & country

THE STRIP & DOWNTOWN · YOUR NIGHT, YOUR WAY

Choose the soundtrack before choosing the bar. These twelve Strip and downtown venues offer actual live musicians, with very different ways to enjoy them: a hidden room for bands, a singalong piano bar, an Irish pub, country music or a refined Bellagio lounge. Opening hours are not performance hours, and some venues also programme karaoke or DJs. Check the named act and set time for your date.

Official venue information checked 1 November 2026.
Live band performing on The Barbershop’s intimate stage at The Cosmopolitan01Strip
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails

A hidden-room band night with a close-up stage

The Barbershop is a strong choice when the performance should be the reason for the night out. Behind the working barbershop frontage, the saloon combines a compact stage with cocktails, whiskey and a rotating mix of live bands and acoustic performers. The setting has more of an intimate gig feel than a background-music lounge. Its calendar also includes karaoke and themed nights, so choose the date as carefully as the room. Reserve for a featured band if your group needs a reliable base for the evening.

Live format
Rotating live bands and acoustic sets; karaoke and themed nights also feature.

Bar at Times Square inside New York-New York, the venue for its duelling-piano show02Strip
New York-New York

Bar at Times Square

Duelling pianos and a lively singalong

Bar at Times Square suits the group that wants to join in rather than sit through a formal concert. Its duelling-piano format gives the night a shared focus, with familiar songs and a room designed for a louder, sociable evening. The New York-New York location also makes it easy to combine with dinner without a separate journey across town. Choose it for an interactive piano-bar atmosphere; choose a quieter lounge if conversation is your priority. The resort publishes piano times separately from the bar’s opening hours.

Live format
Duelling-piano show and singalong atmosphere.
Published piano hours

New York-New York

Nine Fine Irishmen

Irish music, pub food and an evening with a group

Nine Fine Irishmen makes the list because the music belongs to a full pub experience rather than a stand-alone ticketed show. The house-band description mixes traditional Irish music, electric jigs and reels, and familiar singalong songs, giving a group an easy reason to stay after eating. The Irish pub setting offers a different mood from the Strip’s cocktail lounges and country bars. It is useful for friends who want dinner and entertainment in one stop, but distinguish the kitchen’s service times from the later music programme.

Live format
House-band Irish music, jigs, reels and singalong favourites.
Food
Irish pub dishes alongside stouts, ales and spirits.

MGM Grand

Losers Bar

Country performers in a relaxed, no-frills room

Losers is the pick for visitors who would rather hear a country artist over a beer than dress for a glamorous lounge. MGM Grand presents it as an intimate, no-frills live-performance venue, which gives it a clear identity within a very large resort. It works as a music-led stop after dinner or an earlier visit when the published performance window suits your plans. The practical detail matters: this is a bar rather than a dinner reservation, so eat elsewhere first if your group expects a meal.

Live format
Country music artists in an intimate bar setting.
Published music window
Daily 3pm–1am; check private events and the day’s performer.

Bellagio

Petrossian Bar & Lounge

An elegant evening with live piano

Petrossian gives this list a more refined option for people who want live music without a singalong crowd or a dance floor. Bellagio pairs its evening piano programme with cocktails, caviar and an upscale lounge setting. That makes it a considered choice for a date, a celebration or a quieter drink between larger plans. It is the contrast to the rowdier venues here: the attraction is the atmosphere around the performance as much as the songs themselves. Ask about the pianist’s timing rather than treating the full bar opening window as a music schedule.

Live format
Evening live piano in a refined bar and lounge.
Food & drink
Cocktails, caviar and lounge offerings; check the current menu.

A live guitarist performing under purple stage lights at Gilley’s Las Vegas06Strip
Treasure Island

Gilley’s Saloon & Dance Hall

Country music with a proper dance-floor setting

Gilley’s is the choice when hearing music and getting onto the floor should be part of the same evening. The honky-tonk format brings live performers, two-stepping and line dancing into a setting that feels deliberately different from a casino cocktail bar. Its published weekly entertainment page names artists and separates performances from lessons and karaoke, which helps you choose the right session. It is especially useful for an energetic group: check the calendar for a live act rather than assuming every hour of dance-hall entertainment uses a band.

Live format
Country performers and bands, with dancing and other entertainment at separate times.
Setting

A whiskey served at Whiskey Down in MGM Grand07Strip
MGM Grand

Whiskey Down

Late-evening musicians with whiskey and lounge seating

Whiskey Down adds a lounge option for an evening when a band-led bar feels too committed and a plain casino drink feels too ordinary. Its leather seating, dark spirits and live-music programme make it worth considering after dinner at MGM Grand. This is still a gaming lounge on the casino floor, so expect a different atmosphere from a separate concert room. The useful distinction is timing: performances start much later than the bar opens, and Monday is not included in the published weekly music schedule.

Live format
Scheduled live music in a whiskey-focused gaming lounge.
Setting
Leather sofas and oversized chairs on MGM Grand’s casino floor.

Planning
Check the nightly performer and performance window; no Monday music is listed.
Eastside Lounge’s red seating and richly decorated interior at Encore08Strip
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas

Eastside Lounge

Duelling pianos in an elegant north-Strip lounge

Eastside Lounge offers a more dressed-up way to enjoy duelling pianos than the typical singalong pub. Encore’s rich lounge interiors and pool outlook create a setting that works for a date or a small group before the music becomes the evening’s focus. Its published piano timetable is particularly helpful for planning a north-Strip night without arriving hours before the performers. Choose it for the combination of familiar songs and a polished room; still ask about volume, seating and requests if an easy conversation matters as much as the entertainment.

Live format
Duelling pianos with a separately published evening timetable.
Setting
Encore lounge near the Encore Esplanade, overlooking the resort pool.

A singer and drummer performing live on Caspian’s stage at Caesars Palace09Strip
Caesars Palace

Caspian’s Rock & Roe

A secret music room with rotating rock acts

Caspian’s suits the group that wants the reveal of a hidden room and the energy of a proper live act. The front caviar lounge is only part of the experience: behind the portrait entrance, a separate music room programmes bands and themed nights. That distinction matters when booking, because a drink in the frontage is not the same as a place near the stage. Its changing rock-led calendar gives repeat visits a different soundtrack, while live-band karaoke offers another kind of participation on selected dates.

Live format
Rotating bands, themed rock nights and selected live-band karaoke.

The softly lit 1923 Prohibition Bar lounge at Mandalay Place10Strip
The Shoppes at Mandalay Place · Mandalay Bay

1923 Prohibition Bar

New Orleans-style live entertainment behind a bookcase

1923 at Mandalay Place brings a speakeasy atmosphere to a south-Strip music night. The bookcase entrance, bourbon cocktails and intimate lounge make the setting part of the occasion before the performers arrive. Its NOLA Nights combine live music with burlesque, so this is an adult entertainment choice rather than a conventional seated concert. It works well when your group wants a little theatricality without choosing a large nightclub. Use this branch’s programme specifically: the Venetian location has different access, entertainment and timings.

Gold-toned seating and cocktail tables inside CASBAR Lounge at SAHARA11Strip
SAHARA Las Vegas

CASBAR Lounge

Weekend duelling pianos on the north Strip

CASBAR is worth considering when staying towards the north end of the Strip and wanting a lively piano night without another long journey. SAHARA’s lounge pairs comfortable seating and cocktails with a published weekend duelling-piano session. It gives the group a clear performance to plan around while leaving the rest of the evening flexible. The important qualification is that the wider entertainment programme also includes other formats: choose the piano event deliberately instead of assuming the lounge’s round-the-clock opening means musicians will be playing whenever you arrive.

Live format
Weekend duelling pianos; the wider lounge programme includes other entertainment.
Published piano session
Friday and Saturday 8pm–1am; reconfirm the date.

Guests seated inside The Underground speakeasy at The Mob Museum12Downtown
The Mob Museum · Downtown

The Underground

Jazz-era atmosphere and a changing live lineup

The Underground makes a downtown music night feel distinct from a casino-floor lounge. Beneath The Mob Museum, its Prohibition-era setting gives small-group drinks a strong sense of place, while the official monthly calendar names the performers rather than simply promising background entertainment. It is a good option for visitors who enjoy a little history alongside a cocktail and an actual band. Check the week’s live listing and access instructions together; the speakeasy is a separate adult evening destination even though it sits inside a museum.

Live format
Changing monthly lineup of live bands and jazz-era entertainment.
Setting

PLAN YOUR NIGHT WITH CONFIDENCE

Best live music bars in Las Vegas: your questions

Which Las Vegas bars have actual live musicians?

The venues here advertise actual musicians, from The Barbershop’s bands and Eastside’s duelling pianos to The Underground’s changing downtown lineup. Formats include Irish music, country artists and piano-lounge entertainment. Some also offer karaoke, lessons or DJs, so check the specific session you intend to visit.

Does “open now” mean the live music has started?

No. Bar opening, kitchen service and performance times can be different. Bar at Times Square and Nine Fine Irishmen publish separate entertainment hours; Petrossian describes evening piano without a full performance timetable on its page. Confirm the act, first set, breaks and finishing time for your date.

Do I need tickets or a table reservation?

It depends on the venue and event. A table booking, an admission charge and a special-performance ticket can be separate things. Ask what the booking includes, whether everyone gets a seat, the cancellation rules and whether a minimum spend applies. Featured bands and major event weekends deserve an early enquiry.

Which live music bar is best for conversation?

For a more refined piano-lounge setting, start with Petrossian and ask about seating away from the instrument. The Barbershop, duelling-piano shows and a dance hall are stronger choices when participation and performance are the focus. Any live act can still be loud; ask the host about the room and your seats.

Can children attend, and can I order dinner?

Check both details with the specific venue. Losers and Petrossian state 21+ entry; other venues and individual sessions have their own rules. Losers explicitly does not serve food. Nine Fine Irishmen offers a restaurant menu, but its kitchen closes before some entertainment ends. Do not assume every music bar is an all-ages dinner venue.
