Very different days.
The most useful question is not “Which tour is cheapest?” It is “Which experience do I actually want?” Start here.

West Rim, on your feet
For a full day of canyon-edge scenery, organised meals and an optional glass-bridge walk. Grand Canyon West is the Hualapai destination, outside the National Park.

From a $94 day out
to a $599 sunset adventure.
The starting price is only the beginning of the comparison. A more expensive trip does not automatically give you more time at the rim: you may be paying for aircraft time, a landing setting or a different part of the canyon.
Both listed coach tours start here. The West Rim option focuses on viewpoints and organised meals; the South Rim takes you to the National Park. Add any chosen upgrades and check park fees before comparing totals.
The premium buys flying time and a private-bluff landing below the rim. It is a shorter outing with a different perspective. Allow extra for getting to the heliport under the current package.
This option combines the canyon flyover with a Valley of Fire landing. Choose it for that desert setting, not because it is a higher-priced version of landing inside the canyon. Confirm offered hotel pickup.
All amounts are advertised starting prices per person in USD, checked 2 November 2026. The $94 coach starting price does not establish the cost of every Skywalk or helicopter upgrade. Your selected date and package determine the price.

Four distinct choices, with the details that matter before you book.
FROM$94USD / person01 CoachWest Rim by coach: viewpoints, breakfast & lunch
From $94 USD per person Checked 2 November 2026 · options vary
Best for A first canyon visit with meals and ground-level sightseeing.
Make a proper day of the West Rim without driving yourself. This coach tour combines Eagle Point and Guano Point with a Hoover Dam Memorial Bridge photo stop, a cooked breakfast and lunch. It is the choice we would compare first for a group that wants time looking into the canyon from the rim, rather than spending most of its budget on a flight.
The useful distinction is the time on the ground: the provider advertises around three hours at Grand Canyon West. Panoramic coach windows, an onboard toilet and organised meals make the long day easier to plan. The Skywalk and helicopter are booking options, so a headline photograph or tour title alone does not tell you which extras are in your ticket.
What the listing includes
- Return coach transport from selected Las Vegas pickup points
- Grand Canyon West admission and the advertised viewpoints
- Breakfast, lunch and bottled water in the listed package
Check before choosing
- Select the Skywalk option if walking on the glass bridge matters to you
- A helicopter upgrade is separate unless your selected option includes it
- The Hoover Dam stop is a viewpoint stop, not a power-plant tour
Itinerary, pickup & booking tips
Your day
Selected Vegas pickup → breakfast → Hoover Dam viewpoint → West Rim viewpoints → Las Vegas. Stop order and time at each location can change.
Vegas Bible booking tip
Confirm your assigned pickup point with the operator. Selected Strip and downtown pickup locations are advertised; this is not collection from every hotel door.
The trade-off
More time on the road than a helicopter excursion. Keep the evening flexible rather than booking a tightly timed dinner or show.
Listing checked: cancellation up to 24 hours in advance; confirm the exact terms for your option.
FROM$94USD / person02 CoachSouth Rim: the National Park day trip
From $94 USD per person Checked 2 November 2026 · options vary
Best for Visitors who specifically want Grand Canyon National Park.
Choose this when visiting the National Park itself is the reason for the trip. The South Rim gives you the classic broad canyon panorama, with the listing naming Mather Point among its stops. This is a substantial excursion from Las Vegas: it suits travellers happy to commit the day to scenery rather than trying to squeeze the canyon between other bookings.
A coach takes care of the long drive, and the listing offers lunch, Strip transport and Wi-Fi. The trade-off is an early start and considerably more travel than a West Rim flight. Read the current pickup and return arrangements closely: the provider lists specific hotel collection points and a more limited set of drop-off locations.
What the listing includes
- Round-trip transport from the advertised Vegas collection points
- South Rim sightseeing in Grand Canyon National Park
- Lunch package; review the current meal and admission details
Check before choosing
- Non-US-resident National Park fees may be additional; see the fee guide below
- The Skywalk is at Grand Canyon West and is not part of a South Rim visit
- Winter weather, road conditions and the selected itinerary affect the day
Itinerary, pickup & booking tips
Your day
Early Las Vegas departure → Arizona desert journey → South Rim viewpoints → return to Vegas. The advertised duration is approximate, not a guaranteed hotel arrival time.
Vegas Bible booking tip
The provider publishes altered pickup arrangements during the 18–22 November 2026 F1 period. Use your confirmation for the correct location and time; do not rely on an old hotel pickup list.
The trade-off
A long day, particularly with younger children or anyone who dislikes extended coach travel. Take layers: the South Rim can be much colder than Las Vegas.
Listing checked: cancellation up to 24 hours in advance; confirm the exact terms for your option.
FROM$552.12USD / person03 HelicopterHelicopter adventure with a canyon landing
From $552.12 USD per person Checked 2 November 2026 · options vary
Best for A memorable flight that also gets you out into the canyon landscape.
This is the one to compare when “I want to land in the canyon” is your priority. The listing describes a flight to Grand Canyon West and a touchdown on a private bluff below the rim, with time for a Champagne toast and light snacks. It combines aerial scale with a stop in the landscape, rather than only flying over it.
The advertised flight is approximately 45 minutes each way, with around 30 minutes at the landing site. Hoover Dam and Lake Mead feature in the aerial route, and the return includes the Strip. A private landing does not mean a private helicopter: seating is shared unless your actual reservation explicitly says otherwise.
What the listing includes
- Eco-Star helicopter flight in the selected departure
- Landing on a private bluff below the West Rim
- Champagne toast and light snacks as advertised
Check before choosing
- Current listing says make your own way to the Las Vegas heliport
- Take the required original photo ID and follow check-in instructions
- Weight limits, seating allocation and any extra-seat charges must be checked
Itinerary, pickup & booking tips
Your day
Las Vegas heliport → Lake Mead and Hoover Dam aerial views → canyon bluff landing → return over the Strip. Route and operation remain subject to conditions.
Vegas Bible booking tip
The checked meeting point is 6075 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Older reviews mention hotel transfers, but the current listing does not include them: budget your journey to the heliport.
The trade-off
A premium-priced experience with less time walking at viewpoints than a coach tour. Flight time, landing time and total outing time are different measurements.
Listing checked: cancellation up to 3 days in advance. This differs from the coach tours; check the local-time deadline.
FROM$599USD / person04 HelicopterGrand Canyon flight & Valley of Fire sunset landing
From $599 USD per person Checked 2 November 2026 · options vary
Best for Travellers who want a scenic flight and a distinctive sunset stop.
Pair the canyon from the air with a landing among Valley of Fire’s red-rock scenery. This is a different experience from the canyon-bluff landing tour: Grand Canyon West is a flyover here, while the advertised ground stop is at Valley of Fire. Choose it for the combination of changing desert light, aerial views and the landing setting.
The provider lists around one hour and 40 minutes of flying within an approximately four-hour excursion, with a 30-minute Valley of Fire stop. Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Strip appear in the itinerary. The Champagne stop makes it an appealing special-occasion choice, but sunset colour and flight operation always depend on conditions.
What the listing includes
- Helicopter sightseeing along the advertised route
- Valley of Fire landing and listed Champagne / beverage inclusion
- Hotel pickup is offered; confirm the arrangements for your booking
Check before choosing
- This ticket does not give you a walk around the South Rim or Skywalk
- Canyon flyover and Valley of Fire landing are separate parts of the trip
- Confirm departure time, pickup lead time and passenger restrictions
Itinerary, pickup & booking tips
Your day
Las Vegas departure → Hoover Dam / Lake Mead scenery → Grand Canyon West flyover → Valley of Fire landing → Strip views and return. The precise order can vary.
Vegas Bible booking tip
The provider says hotel collection can begin around 90 minutes before the scheduled flight. Use the confirmed pickup time rather than arriving at that hotel at the flight time.
The trade-off
Choose the canyon-bluff tour instead if stepping out inside the Grand Canyon is the essential experience. A sunset-themed booking is not a guarantee of particular weather.
Listing checked: cancellation up to 24 hours in advance; confirm the exact terms for your option.
UK visitor? Check the National Park fee.
As checked on 2 November 2026, the National Park Service lists an additional $100 per non-US resident aged 16+ at Grand Canyon National Park, including commercial-tour guests, unless covered by an eligible pass. The South Rim tour listing also flags this extra charge.
The NPS lists a $250 Non-Resident Annual Pass that can cover the holder and up to three additional adults on a commercial tour. Ask the operator how it handles valid passes before buying or paying a surcharge. This concerns the National Park: Grand Canyon West has its own tribal admission arrangements.
Before you leave
the bright lights.
Protect your evening
Advertised duration is not a guaranteed hotel return. Keep your first evening plan flexible, especially after a coach tour. Check whether the return is to your original hotel or a designated stop.
Use the right clock
Follow the time zone on your confirmation. Arizona and Las Vegas can differ during part of the year. Hotel collection can be well before a flight’s departure time.
Dress for the canyon
Take water, comfortable closed shoes, sun protection and layers. The South Rim stays open year-round, but winter snow and ice can affect roads and paths. A warm Vegas afternoon is not a canyon weather forecast.
Read the photo rules
Grand Canyon West’s current FAQ permits phones on the Skywalk but restricts cameras, bags and other personal items. Policies have changed, so check the current rules rather than relying on older trip reports.
Check flight suitability
Review the operator’s age, ID, mobility and weight requirements before paying. Seating is allocated for the aircraft; a window or front seat is not guaranteed unless your actual ticket explicitly promises it.

The details that make the difference.
Which Grand Canyon tour from Las Vegas should I choose?
Choose the West Rim coach tour for a full sightseeing day with meals, the South Rim for Grand Canyon National Park, the canyon-landing helicopter for a shorter premium adventure, or the Valley of Fire flight for a sunset-focused landing outside the canyon. The right choice depends on the place you want to visit, time available and the complete ticket cost.
Is the West Rim the same as Grand Canyon National Park?
No. Grand Canyon West is on Hualapai tribal land and has its own admission arrangements. The South Rim is in Grand Canyon National Park. They offer different viewpoints, travel times and ticket conditions; a National Park pass is not a Grand Canyon West ticket.
Does every Grand Canyon tour include the Skywalk?
No. The Skywalk is at Eagle Point at Grand Canyon West. The coach listing offers a Skywalk option: choose that option and check the actual inclusion list. A South Rim ticket, helicopter flyover or canyon-bluff landing does not automatically include a Skywalk visit.
Do all helicopters land inside the Grand Canyon?
No. Our canyon-landing option stops on a private bluff below the West Rim. The Valley of Fire option flies over Grand Canyon West and lands at Valley of Fire instead. Read the landing location, not just the word “landing” in a title.
How much do Grand Canyon tours from Las Vegas cost?
Starting prices checked on 2 November 2026 were $94 per person for each coach option, $552.12 for the canyon-landing helicopter and $599 for the Valley of Fire sunset flight. Prices depend on date and package. Compare the final total, including optional extras, transfers and any applicable National Park nonresident fees.
Can UK visitors have extra National Park fees?
Yes. As checked on 2 November 2026, the National Park Service lists an additional $100 fee for non-US residents aged 16 and over visiting Grand Canyon National Park, including commercial-tour visitors, unless an eligible pass covers it. Check the current rules and how your operator handles passes. Grand Canyon West has separate tribal admission arrangements.
Can I visit the Grand Canyon and book a Vegas show that evening?
Leave a generous buffer. Coach tours have approximate return times and can be delayed by traffic, weather or park access. A helicopter outing is shorter, but check-in and transfers add time and flights can change. Avoid relying on the advertised finish time for a non-refundable dinner, show or flight home.
Can I cancel or change a tour?
Read your chosen option’s current terms. When checked, both coach tours and the Valley of Fire flight listed cancellation up to 24 hours before the experience, while the canyon-landing helicopter listed up to three days. Local-time cutoffs, changes, weather handling and late arrivals have their own terms.
Does Save or Plan reserve my tour?
No. Save keeps a shortlist, Plan puts the experience in your itinerary, and Visited records a completed visit. Use the tracked booking button and complete the reservation on Viator to buy the actual tour.
